Radically Welcoming Heathen Congregation
The Godsring Heathen Fellowship is an international faith organization dedicated to providing safe, welcoming spaces and affirming spiritual guidance to those who have chosen to live a spiritual way of life according to Germanic, Celtic, and Slavic folkways.
We specifically encourage, support, and affirm the interest and participation of those who are not of Northern European ancestry as well as those of queer, trans, and/or gender nonconforming experience.
We do not have any form of official membership. There is no application to fill out, you don’t need to attend a certain number of meetings or spend so many days with us before you’re “accepted,” and you won’t be turned away for just being who you are. Simply come as you are — you are welcome!
Virtual and In-Person Worship
We meet weekly both virtually on Zoom and in-person in Stroudsburg, PA. See our Calendar page for more details!
Our ritual meetings last one hour and begin with a short ritual and offering in honor of a God or Goddess, followed by fellowship and discussion for the rest of the hour. Our meetings are a time to engage in and learn about worship, get support from our fellows, discuss things that are meaningful to us, and celebrate achievements.
All are welcome! Come as you are. There is no need to bring anything, and there is no expectation to actively participate. No need to RSVP, simply show up.
Our Way of Life
We care for our fellow humans, regardless of their religious beliefs, political orientation, ancestry, ability, or any other factor. We do not evangelize, nor do we display any preference for Heathen people over others. Any services we provide for the community are without expectation of reward or reciprocation.
We are stewards of our Mother Earth, and we strive to minimize the harm done to her by our human activities. We seek to inform ourselves and others about how these activities affect her, and about practical ways of caring for her.
We are an open community. We accept anyone who feels called to a spiritual way of living that understands and honors the Gods, the Worlds, and ourselves through the lens of the Germanic, Celtic, and Slavic cultures. We are not concerned with what our members can offer us, only with how we can be of service to our community.
